Job Duties:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons to primary school students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Individualise teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities
  • Assess students' progress and provide feedback to parents and colleagues
  • Collaborate with SENCO and other professionals to develop Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with SEN students
  • Knowledge of SEN provisions and strategies

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years teaching experience, preferably in an SEN setting

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of SEN curriculum and assessment practises
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet individual student needs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Special Education
  • Experience in using assistive technology for SEN students

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
