We are excited to be working with an excellent special school in Haywards Heath for 6-12 year olds with Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties and Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC). The school are looking for a full-time teaching assistant from September. The school believe that every child can flourish and are looking for a TA to join the team who believes they have the skillset to enable their pupils to achieve their full potential

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and EHCPs.
- Support students in their learning activities and encourage participation.
- Help to create a safe, supportive, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other staff members.
- Foster positive relationships with students, understanding their individual needs and strengths.
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding student progress.
Requirements:
- Experience working with young people with SEMH difficulties or autistic spectrum conditions is highly desirable.
- A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A commitment to our values of clarity, openness, and consistency in communication.
