Protocol Education is seeking a talented Learning Support Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with SEN children in Key Stage 1 through to Key Stage 2, across our delighful primary schools in Colchester and Tendring.
You will be working as part of a friendly and supportive team, alongisde children who have SEN and/ or additonal needs. You will be supporting them within their learning and development, aiding them within their education and guiding them. You will be following an EHCP with most indivduals, and children who are currently in the process of an EHCP being written.
Key Responsibilities:,
- Provide tailored 1:1 support to a child with SEN in all Key Stages.
- Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individualised learning plans.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Assist with the child's academic and social development.
- Monitor and record the child's progress, contributing to ongoing assessments.
- Follow all policies and procedures
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children with SEN is highly desirable.
- Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is an advantage, but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children's learning.
- Ability to work indepndently and problem solve

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
