SEN Learning Support Assistant in Peterlee
We are currently seeking caring, supportive, and dedicated Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) with experience working with pupils either in small groups or on a one-to-one basis. This role is based in Peterlee, and we are looking for LSAs to work in schools in Sunderland and the surrounding areas.
If you have experience as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant and have supported children with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) or offered general classroom support, we want to hear from you!
Who we're looking for:
- A team player with a passion for working with children with SEND
- Someone with a patient and understanding approach
- Availability to start as soon as possible
- Prior experience as a Teaching Assistant
Role description:
- Providing 1:1 support
- Delivering engaging activities for pupils
- Supporting pupils to achieve their therapy targets
- Availability for at least 3 days per week
- Working collaboratively with the class teacher

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
