The Need is Urgent:
- 50% of all mental health problems are established by age 14.
- 80% of young people with mental health needs report a lack of sufficient support at school.
- 1 in 3 students with mental health issues do not have access to adequate resources or support.

Role Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and group support to students experiencing mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, and stress.
- Assist in the implementation of mental health and well-being programs within the school.
- Work closely with teachers, counselors, and external professionals to create a supportive learning environment.
- Help students develop coping strategies and resilience to manage their mental health effectively.
- Foster a safe, non-judgmental space where students feel heard and supported.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: Previous experience in mental health support, youth work, or similar roles is highly desirable.
- Qualities: Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting young people’s mental health.
- Skills: Strong communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with students.
- Adaptability: Ability to respond to the diverse needs of students and manage challenging situations effectively.
- Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in mental health, counseling, or youth work are advantageous.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
