Role Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEMH Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour. You will be responsible for creating and delivering engaging, tailored lessons that meet the diverse needs of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons that cater to the individual needs of students with SEMH.
  • Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Support Plans.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
  • Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources to engage students and promote their academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Work closely with teaching assistants, support staff, and other teachers to provide comprehensive support for students.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and reports to parents and senior staff.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in SEMH education.
  • Liaise with external agencies and specialists as necessary to support student needs.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience working with students with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour.
  • Strong understanding of SEMH strategies and interventions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, resilience, and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
