We are looking for an experienced, qualified SEMH Teacher to join our team on a full-time temporary basis in Morpeth, with the potential for the role to become permanent. If you’re a teacher with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a passion for supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health needs, this is the opportunity for you!

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
  • Experience working with SEMH students or in an inclusive education setting is highly desirable
  • A patient, empathetic, and adaptable teaching style with strong classroom management skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external agencies
  • A commitment to creating a supportive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess individualized lessons for students with SEMH needs
  • Provide emotional and behavioural support to help students manage their social and emotional challenges
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom where students feel safe, respected, and engaged
  • Collaborate with support staff, parents, and external professionals to ensure the holistic development of each student
  • Monitor progress, set individual learning goals, and provide regular feedback to students and parents
