We are currently seeking a dedicated and empathetic SEMH Support Assistant to join our team in Cramlington on a full-time, temporary basis. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, helping them to achieve their full potential in a nurturing and supportive environment.
In this role, you will provide tailored support to students, assisting them in managing their emotions, developing positive behaviours, and engaging with their learning. You will work closely with the teaching staff to create a calm and structured environment, ensuring that students feel safe, valued, and motivated to succeed.
No prior experience is required, as full training will be provided. We are looking for someone who is patient, understanding, and proactive, with a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of young people. Strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to adapt to varying situations are essential.
