We are seeking a dedicated full time , temporary SEMH Support Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will support students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs, helping them access learning and develop essential life skills. Key responsibilities include supporting classroom activities, implementing tailored strategies, and fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with SEMH needs during lessons and activities
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualized learning plans
- Encourage positive behavior and provide emotional support
- Help maintain a calm and structured learning environment
- Work closely with teachers and other support staff to meet the needs of students
Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs is desired, however no prior experience necessary.
- Ability to adapt to individual student needs
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A commitment to promoting emotional well-being and positive behavior
