Job Duties:

  • Provide 1-1 support to students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
  • Assist with the implementation of individualised behaviour plans
  • Support students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff to create a supportive learning environment
  • Monitor and record student progress and behaviour

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience working with children or young adults with SEMH, ASD, and ADHD
  • Strong understanding of Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), Key Stage 1 (KS1), and Key Stage 2 (KS2) curriculum
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

  • Minimum of a Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent

Experience:

  • Prior experience in a similar role within an educational setting
  • Demonstrated ability to manage challenging behaviour effectively

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of strategies for supporting students with SEMH, ASD, and ADHD
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent
  • Training in de-escalation techniques and positive behaviour support
