Protocol Education is currently recruiting a talented and dedicated Secondary Science Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Market Rasen, Lincolnshire for a full-time maternity cover position. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified teacher looking to make an impact in a dynamic classroom environment starting in January 2025.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students.
- Assess and monitor student progress through regular testing and feedback.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel supported and motivated to learn.
- Implement and follow the school’s policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and productive learning space.
- Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to curriculum planning and development.
- Provide feedback to parents and guardians regarding student progress and achievement.
- Participate in school meetings, professional development activities, and extracurricular events.
Qualifications Needed:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A degree in Science (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics).
- Proven experience teaching Science at the secondary level.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- A passion for teaching and helping students reach their full potential.
Beneficial Experience:
- Experience teaching GCSE Science is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of BTEC Science or A-Level teaching is a plus.
- Familiarity with using technology in the classroom, including interactive whiteboards and online learning platforms.
- Experience working in a secondary school setting and working with diverse student groups.
