We are currently recruiting for a dynamic Science Teacher to join a forward-thinking secondary school in the heart of Newcastle. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and high-quality science lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 in a range of scientific disciplines, including biology, chemistry, and physics.
- Promote a passion for science and encourage students to develop a deep understanding of scientific concepts.
- Plan and implement innovative and interactive lessons that meet the needs of a diverse group of learners.
- Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing feedback and support to help students reach their full potential.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of the school’s science curriculum and extracurricular activities.
- Ensure that all health and safety guidelines are followed in the classroom, particularly during practical science lessons.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the science department to continually improve teaching methods and resources.
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualified Science Teacher with a strong subject knowledge in biology, chemistry, and physics.
- Experience teaching science at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with a passion for delivering inspiring lessons.
- A DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to undergo a DBS check through Protocol Education.
- Strong communication and organisational skills to effectively manage classrooms and student progress.
- A positive and proactive approach to teaching, with a commitment to student well-being and academic success.
- Enthusiastic about science education and keen to make a positive impact on students’ learning and development.
