Science Teacher – Newcastle (NE6)

Are you a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher looking for an exciting opportunity in Newcastle? We are currently recruiting for a dynamic Science Teacher to join a forward-thinking secondary school in the heart of Newcastle. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire students and contribute to an exceptional science curriculum in a supportive and thriving educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality science lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 in a range of scientific disciplines, including biology, chemistry, and physics.
  • Promote a passion for science and encourage students to develop a deep understanding of scientific concepts.
  • Plan and implement innovative and interactive lessons that meet the needs of a diverse group of learners.
  • Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing feedback and support to help students reach their full potential.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of the school’s science curriculum and extracurricular activities.
  • Ensure that all health and safety guidelines are followed in the classroom, particularly during practical science lessons.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the science department to continually improve teaching methods and resources.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Science Teacher with a strong subject knowledge in biology, chemistry, and physics.
  • Experience teaching science at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with a passion for delivering inspiring lessons.
  • A DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to undergo a DBS check through Protocol Education.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills to effectively manage classrooms and student progress.
  • A positive and proactive approach to teaching, with a commitment to student well-being and academic success.
  • Enthusiastic about science education and keen to make a positive impact on students’ learning and development.
