We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join a vibrant and popular school in Newcastle upon Tyne.  You will join a school that is  committed to fostering a supportive and innovative learning environment, encouraging students to explore the wonders of science and develop critical thinking skills. This is a full time role to begin ASAP. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to apply for a permanent position with the school after a period of time working through Protocol Education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and comprehensive science lessons across key stages.
  • Inspire and motivate students through creative teaching methods and hands-on experiments.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop a dynamic curriculum that promotes scientific inquiry.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities that enhance the science program.

Qualifications:

  • A relevant degree and teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent).
  • Strong subject knowledge in biology, chemistry, and physics.
  • Experience in teaching science at secondary level is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and a passion for student development.
  • Contribute to a thriving school community that prioritizes student well-being and achievement.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
