Job Duties:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging science lessons to students
  • Develop and implement curriculum and lesson plans
  • Assess and evaluate student progress
  • Provide feedback to students and parents on academic performance
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development activities
  • Supervise students in and out of the classroom

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Degree in a relevant scientific field

Education and Experience:

  • Previous experience teaching science at the secondary level
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current teaching methods and educational pedagogy

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of the national curriculum for science
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students
  • Organisational and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate certificate in education (PGCE)
  • Experience working with diverse student populations

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a school environment
  • Full-Time hours, temporary position
  • Interact with students, parents, and other staff members
