Position: Secondary School Science Teacher
Location: Shrewsbury
Role Overview:
- Teach science subjects to secondary school students (ages 11-16), inspiring a passion for biology, chemistry, and physics.
- Plan and deliver engaging and interactive lessons that cater to a diverse range of learning styles and abilities.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and encouraged to reach their full potential.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods, resources, and technology to enhance learning outcomes and promote active participation.
- Assess student progress through regular formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to support their growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum materials, share best practices, and contribute to the wider school community.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Specialisation in science education or a related field.
- Strong subject knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm for science.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students effectively.
- Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment that celebrates diversity.
- Dedication to continuous professional development and a willingness to embrace new teaching methodologies and technologies.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
