Responsibilities:

  1. Curriculum Development:

    • Develop and implement a comprehensive and engaging science curriculum that aligns with national standards and educational objectives.
    • Integrate inquiry-based and hands-on learning experiences to enhance students' understanding of scientific principles.
  2. Classroom Instruction:

    • Deliver effective and inspiring science lessons to students at the [Specify applicable grade levels].
    • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and scientific inquiry.
  3. Laboratory Management:

    • Oversee and manage science laboratories, ensuring a safe and organized learning space.
    • Demonstrate and instruct students on proper laboratory techniques and safety protocols.
  4. Assessment and Evaluation:

    • Develop and administer assessments to gauge student comprehension and progress in science subjects.
    • Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and work towards continuous improvement.
  5. Collaboration:

    • Collaborate with fellow teachers to develop cross-disciplinary projects and activities.
    • Engage in effective communication with parents and guardians to discuss student performance and achievements.
  6. Professional Development:

    • Stay current with advancements in science education and incorporate new teaching methodologies.
    • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science Education or a related field.
  • Teaching certification/license 
  • Proven experience teaching science KS3 - KS5
  • Strong knowledge of the national science curriculum and educational trends.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
