Position: Science Graduate Teaching Assistant
Hours: Full Time ( 8:30-3:30)

Role Overview:
As a Science Teaching Assistant,  you will play a crucial role in supporting the Science Department and enhancing the learning experience of our students. Your responsibilities will include assisting in lesson delivery, preparing educational materials, providing personalised student support, and contributing to the overall academic environment. This position is ideal for someone passionate about science and education, looking to make a tangible impact on students' academic journeys.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Science Department in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Support students in their learning, both in and out of the classroom.
  • Help prepare teaching materials and resources.
  • Set up and manage laboratory equipment and experiments.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group tutoring sessions.
  • Assist with grading assignments and exams.
  • Participate in department meetings and school events.

Qualifications:

  • A passion for science and education.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and students.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Previous experience in a similar role or a degree in a science-related field is a plus but not required.

Requirements:

  • The right to work in the UK.
  • Has or is willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Demonstrated commitment to education and personal growth.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
