We are seeking a Safeguarding and Mental Health Officer to join our Student Support Team on a part-time basis (3 days a week). This role involves triaging safeguarding and wellbeing referrals, managing a caseload of students, and providing vital support for those facing mental health and safeguarding challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
- Safeguarding and Wellbeing Support: Respond to safeguarding concerns and provide timely intervention for learners at risk. Implement wellbeing interventions for students facing mental health and welfare issues.
- Referral and Collaboration: Use college referral systems to connect students with external agencies like the Early Help and Safeguarding Hub, local authorities, and mental health services.
- Case Management and Record-Keeping: Manage a caseload of students, ensure all interventions are well-documented, and provide regular reports on cases.
Essential Requirements:
- Experience in safeguarding, mental health, or student welfare, preferably in an educational setting.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Compassionate, non-judgmental approach to supporting students.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and manage a caseload.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
