Job Duties:
The Ruislip SEN Teaching Assistant will support students with special educational needs and disabilities in classroom settings. Duties include adapting tasks to meet individual needs, providing positive reinforcement, encouraging student engagement, and using visual supports to aid learning.
Required Qualifications:
Qualified in SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities)
Education:
Relevant educational background in Special Educational Needs
Experience:
Prior experience working with students with special educational needs and disabilities
Knowledge and Skills:
Understanding of Makaton and cued articulation, ability to adapt tasks for individual needs, proficiency in providing positive reinforcement, encouraging student engagement, and using visual supports
Preferred Qualifications:
Additional qualifications in relevant areas of special education
Working Conditions:
The role involves working in a classroom environment with students who have special educational needs and disabilities. The position is full-time on a contract basis with opportunities for professional development through Continued Professional Development (CPD).
