Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Religious Education Teacher to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will inspire and engage students, fostering a deep understanding and appreciation of various religions, ethics, and philosophies. This role involves teaching Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students, preparing them for GCSE examinations, and contributing to the overall development of the RE curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and thought-provoking RE lessons that cater to a diverse student body.
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment that respects and celebrates diverse religious beliefs and practices.
- Assess and monitor students' progress, providing constructive feedback and support to help them achieve their full potential.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the RE curriculum and participate in departmental meetings and professional development opportunities.
- Promote the school's ethos and values, encouraging students to develop moral and ethical awareness.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Religious Education, Theology, Philosophy, or a related field.
- Proven experience teaching RE at the secondary school level, with a track record of excellent student outcomes.
- Strong knowledge of various world religions, ethical theories, and philosophical concepts.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for teaching and learning.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute positively to the school community.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
