Position: Religious Education (RE) Teacher

Full Time: 8:30-3:30

 

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Religious Education (RE) Teacher to start in September 2024. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and thought-provoking lessons to students, encouraging them to explore and understand various religious beliefs, values, and traditions.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality RE lessons that cater to the needs of all students.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect and understanding of diverse religious perspectives.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and resources.
  • Participate in school events, parent meetings, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in Religious Education, Theology, or a related field.
  • Experience teaching RE at secondary school level is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of various world religions and ethical issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.

 

Requirements:

  • The right to work in the UK.
  • Has or is willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to education and personal growth.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
