Are you looking for a fresh Challenge? At this school we support autistic children who have associated  learning disabilities at our day and residential schools in Lincolnshire. We are recruiting for an outstanding Teachers to join our well established Education Team.

We require suitably qualified teachers, or those with relevant SEN experience who we would support to attain QTS, who will create outstanding teaching and learning opportunities for individuals and small groups of pupils (aged between 9 to 18), ensuring a person-centred approach that is purposeful and meaningful.

Whilst previous experience of working in a SEN environment would be desirable, excellent teaching skills and the right motivation, personal qualities and a desire to deliver education that reflects our Meaningful Life ethos are just as important to us. You will be provided with full training, and have the benefit of working alongside our clinical colleagues from Speech and Language, Occupational and Music Therapy to provide a therapeutically informed approach.

What will you be doing?

Establish and maintain good working relationships in order to promote the development and effective delivery of the school curriculum and maximise our young people’s achievement.

Teaching students according to their educational needs and acknowledging that every interaction counts.

Creating a safe and well-regulated teaching space that will ensure the educational well-being of individual children within the group.

Following agreed and consistent strategies to support young people alongside school, therapeutic services and residential colleagues.

Ensuring careful and ongoing assessment of learning to inform further planning and next steps.

Ensuring that tasks and activities are matched to the ability of the children- allowing them to make meaningful progress and skills and knowledge that can be applied in real life context.

Working within a team of like-minded professionals, using team work and humour to ensure a cohesive and supportive education community.

Liaising effectively with parents and a wide range of professionals.

About You

Experience and qualifications:

Must have appropriate teaching Qualification (QTS or QTLS), or willingness to attain appropriate qualification while undertaking an unqualified teacher position.

Be an outstanding practitioner, with a passion for working with children with complex learning needs.

Knowledge of autism, and an understanding of neurodiverse approaches to education desirable

Experience of teaching of working with a range of age phases is desirable.
