Protocol Education are looking for experienced and qualified Supply Teachers to work in and around schools in Colchester. You will be working as a Supply Teacher, enriching young children's minds and developing their learning. We encourage educators to get back into teaching and to fall in love with teaching again, you will have excellent support from our consultants that will guide you every step of the way.
We are working on behalf of skills within Colchester, recruiting strong, passionate teachers to work in the schools.
You will need the following:
- Qualified Teacher Status.
- Experience teaching within schools.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbally.
- Proven classroom management.
- Passion for teaching.
- Flexible and ability to go into schools last minute.
Your reponsibilities will include:
- Teaching a classroom on a supply basis.
- Flexibly meet the needs of schools, on the same day or a week in advance.
- Liasing with parents, carers and colleagues.
- Monitoring children's progress, and reporting to senior members of staff and parents/ carers.
- Support students within their learning and development, encouraging them to learn and progress.
- Marking and planning on occassions.
In most cases, daily supply can lead to full time permanent roles within the schools. This provides you with job security, and also the ability to work in a variety of schools to get a feel for where you would like to work long term.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
