Protocol Education are working with a school in Radlett, Hertfordshire, to appoint a temp to perm SEN Teacher. This school is a special provision, consisting of only 55 pupils in total, providing children aged 5 to 19 years old with the supportive and collaborative environment they need to access their education in a way that suits their individual needs.

Each class consists currently of approximately 5-8 pupils and has on-site multi discilnanry team consisting of a Beahviour team, speach and language therapist and educational psychologist. Working alongside 12 different local authorities the school provides children who have a diagnosis of Autism with a varied curricullum and a sense of belonging.

Accredited by the National Autistic Society (NAS) this school has been purpose built for children with Autism with excellent facilities to thrive within the school and local community.

Full time 8:30am-4:30pm with breaks

The role:

Designing and delivering a diverse and creative lesson plan to provide each child with opportunities to progress

Responsible for the integrated education and care of a group of approximately 7-8 children in line with their EHCP plans.

Monitoring and Line management of 5 SEN Teaching Assistants.

An understanding and experience of supporting and teaching children with SEN needs to include Autism is imperative

Utilises a variety of teaching methods to present engaging, thoughtful lessons and CPD sessions

Is caring and has the drive and passion to continue to develop strong relationships and the well being with staff, students, parents, governors, professionals and the local community

Excellent behaviour and classroom management, ensuring a constructive and positive environment is always enforced.
