Job Description:

We are urgently seeking a Qualified Nursery Assistant to join our team in Croydon, Greater London. As a Nursery Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to young children. Your primary responsibilities will include:

Job Duties:

• Assisting with the daily care of children, including feeding, changing, and supervising activities
• Supporting the planning and implementation of age-appropriate learning activities
• Ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children
• Communicating effectively with parents and colleagues
• Participating in meetings and training sessions as required

Required Qualifications:

• Level 2 or 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent
• Valid DBS check
• Previous experience working in a nursery setting

Education:

Minimum of Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education

Experience:

Previous experience working in a nursery setting

Knowledge and Skills:

• Understanding of Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

• Paediatric First Aid Certificate
• Food Hygiene Certificate

Working Conditions:

This role involves working full-time hours on a contract basis. The working environment will be a busy nursery setting with a focus on providing high-quality care and education to young children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
