Job Duties:
- Plan and deliver engaging and informative lessons in History, Geography, and Religious Education
- Assess and evaluate students' progress, providing constructive feedback
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities
Required Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Degree in a relevant subject (History, Geography, or Religious Education)
- Knowledge of the UK National Curriculum
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Education:
Degree in History, Geography, Religious Education or related field
Experience:
Previous experience teaching Humanities subjects at secondary level
Knowledge and Skills:
- Thorough understanding of pedagogical principles and teaching methods
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students
- Excellent classroom management skills
- Proficient in using technology to enhance teaching and learning
Preferred Qualifications:
- Postgraduate qualification in Education
- Experience in working with students with special educational needs
Working Conditions:
The role involves working in a school setting, following the academic calendar. Some additional hours may be required for extracurricular activities, parent meetings, and professional development events.
