Job Duties:
The primary responsibilities of the Qualified Humanities Teacher include planning, preparing, and delivering high-quality lessons in humanities subjects. This involves creating engaging and interactive lesson plans, assessing student progress, and providing constructive feedback to support their learning and development. The teacher will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records of student achievements and communicating effectively with parents and colleagues.
Required Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Degree in Humanities or related field
- Proven experience teaching humanities subjects at secondary school level
Education:
A degree in Humanities or a related field is required for this position.
Experience:
Previous experience teaching humanities subjects at the secondary school level is essential.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong understanding of the National Curriculum for humanities subjects
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to create engaging and effective lesson plans
- Strong classroom management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Postgraduate qualification in Education
- Additional training in teaching methodologies
Working Conditions:
The Qualified Humanities Teacher will work in a secondary school setting in South Benfleet, Essex. The role involves working full-time hours during term time, with additional time required for lesson planning, grading, and parent meetings. The teacher may also be involved in extracurricular activities and school events.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
