Job Title: Qualified Food Technology Teacher Needed

Location: East of England, Essex, South Benfleet

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Salary: £31,350 - £41,333 Per annum

Job Duties:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging food technology lessons to students
  • Assess and evaluate students' progress, providing feedback and support as needed
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation
  • Keep accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and teaching strategies
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments in food technology

Required Qualifications:

A recognised teaching qualification in Food Technology

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Food Technology or related field

Experience:

Proven experience teaching Food Technology at secondary level

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of food technology principles and practises
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to engage and inspire students in the subject
  • Organisational and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Postgraduate qualification in Education

Working Conditions:

The role involves working within a school setting, following school hours and term dates. Some evening or weekend work may be required for school events or meetings.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
