Job Duties:

  • Support classroom teachers in implementing behavioural management strategies
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with special educational needs
  • Assist in the development and implementation of individual education plans
  • Conduct assessments and observations to support educational planning
  • Collaborate with educational professionals and parents to support student progress

Required Qualifications:

  • Psychology degree or related field
  • Enhanced DBS on Update Service
  • Experience working with children or young adults

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of behavioural management strategies
  • Knowledge of special educational needs
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in an educational setting
  • Additional training in special education or behavioural support

Working Conditions:

This role involves working in a school environment, supporting students with special educational needs. It may require some flexible hours and occasional weekend work.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
