Protocol Education are seeking personnel who are proficient in psychology to adopt a learning support assistant role in schools. This could include graduates, qualifications, experience etc. Your expertise and background of psychology will be of use to aid students with additional needs in their studies and behaviour management. This role will provide fantastic career opportunities and experience working with children and in schools. This role is ideal for somebody who wishes to branch into education.
This is an excellent opportunity for you to gain experience working in a school environment, provide students with the tools they require to improve and grow, and develop skills which will aid you in your chosen career path. 70% of mental health issues begin in childhood, and you can help students who are struggling with their time in school.
Some of the children you will attend to may have complex needs, including ASD, SEMH, EHCP, and behavioural support. You will be required to aid in the daily activities of the classroom and use your creative background to uniquely support the SEND children in a way only you can. You will provide 1:1 support and create a positive atmosphere. I recommend you consider this position if you have career aspirations of becoming a teacher or working in schools as the experience you will gain here will be invaluable.
Requirements
- DBS / Right to work in the UK.
- An interest in working with children and SEND children.
- A patient, trusting, and calm approach.
- Experience working with children and/or people with SEND is preferable.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
