Job Duties:

  • Supporting classroom teachers in delivering lessons
  • Assisting with the preparation of teaching materials
  • Providing one-to-one support to students as needed
  • Supervising students during break times and outings
  • Assisting with administrative tasks as required

Required Qualifications:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Experience working with children in an educational setting
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well in a team

Education:

Educated to GCSE level or equivalent

Experience:

Prior experience working with children in a school or educational environment

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of educational principles and practises
  • Ability to adapt to different learning styles
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Proficient in using basic IT tools

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools
  • First Aid certification

Working Conditions:

This role involves working in a classroom environment within a private school. The position is part-time and temporary, with the expectation of working flexible hours. The teaching assistant will be required to work closely with students, teachers, and other school staff.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
