Primary Teacher SEMH Needs, Outstanding Residential School

Salary:

Teachers Main pay scale M2 – M6 depending on experience plus SEN Allowance.  There is also the possibility of a TLR for candidates with a proven record of leading a core subject across KS2.

Job Duties:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons to primary students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Assess and track student progress, providing feedback to students, parents, and other staff members
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the overall development of students
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and other school events as required

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience or willingness to work with students with SEMH needs
  • Strong understanding of the primary curriculum

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students
  • Strong classroom management abilities
  • Passion for supporting the social and emotional development of students
  • Experience using behaviour management strategies

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a school setting with primary students
  • Full-time hours, Monday to Friday
  • Potential for additional responsibilities such as extracurricular activities or parent meetings

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
