Job Duties:

The Primary Teacher based in SE18 will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering lessons to primary school students. They will create a positive learning environment, assess student progress, and provide feedback to students, parents, and colleagues. The teacher will also participate in staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and school events.

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Enhanced DBS Check clearance
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Education or relevant field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in a primary school setting

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Effective classroom management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate certificate in Education (PGCE)
  • Specialist training in specific subject areas

Working Conditions:

The Primary Teacher role in SE18 involves working in a classroom setting with primary school students. The teacher may need to work additional hours for planning and assessment, and participate in extracurricular activities. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
