Job Duties:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons to primary school students
  • Assess and record student progress, providing feedback to parents and stakeholders
  • Develop and implement differentiated teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive learning environment
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and other school events

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Enhanced DBS Certificate on Update Service

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in a primary school setting

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of the UK national curriculum
  • Excellent classroom management skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual student needs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate certificate in Education (PGCE)
  • Previous experience working in a diverse school environment

Working Conditions:

This role involves working on-site at a primary school in Peckham, Greater London. The working hours are full-time, following the school's academic calendar.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
