Job Description
As a Primary Teacher in Lewisham, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality education to primary school students. Your duties will include:
Job Duties:
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Assessing and monitoring student progress
- Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Communicating effectively with parents and colleagues
- Participating in staff meetings and professional development activities
Required Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Enhanced DBS check
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field
Experience:
- Previous experience teaching in a primary school setting
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong understanding of the primary curriculum
- Excellent classroom management skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
- Specialist subject knowledge in areas such as Maths, English, or Science
Working Conditions:
- Contract position with full-time hours
- Work within a supportive and collaborative school environment
- Salary paid on a daily rate basis through PAYE
