Job Duties:

  • Deliver engaging, inclusive and well-planned lessons to primary school students
  • Assess and evaluate student progress through a variety of assessment methods
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
  • Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues and other stakeholders
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development activities to enhance teaching practise

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Degree in Education or a related field
  • Updated knowledge and understanding of the primary curriculum

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field

Experience:

Previous experience teaching primary school students is preferred

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Thorough understanding of child development and learning theories
  • Excellent classroom management skills
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
  • Experience working with special educational needs (SEN) students

Working Conditions:

This is a temporary position based in North East England. The primary teacher will be expected to work full-time hours during the school term, with potential for additional responsibilities such as extracurricular activities and parent-teacher meetings.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
