Key Responsibilities:
- Lesson Planning: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
- Student Assessment: Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback to help each child reach their potential.
- Inclusive Teaching: Use a variety of teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of all students.
- Classroom Management: Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters a love of learning.
- Parental Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Policy Implementation: Implement and uphold the school's policies and procedures, including those related to behavior management and safeguarding.
- Professional Participation: Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
- School Contribution: Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities and school events.
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience: Proven experience teaching in a primary school setting, preferably in KS2.
- Curriculum Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum and assessment frameworks.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Adaptability: Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
- Commitment: Dedication to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Desirable:
- Subject Specialism: Expertise in a particular subject area (e.g., mathematics, science, literacy).
- SEN Experience: Experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN).
- Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with educational technology and its application in the classroom.
