Job Description

Job Duties:

  • Deliver engaging and interactive lessons to primary school students
  • Adapt teaching methods to suit the individual needs of students
  • Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment
  • Assess and evaluate student progress through various methods
  • Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and school management
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development sessions
  • Follow the school's policies and procedures

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Enhanced DBS check
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well in a team

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field

Experience:

  • Previous experience working as a primary school teacher
  • Experience in delivering lessons and managing classroom dynamics

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of the national curriculum
  • Ability to use ICT effectively in teaching
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Adaptability and flexibility in teaching approach

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
  • Specialist training in a particular subject area

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a classroom setting within a primary school
  • Full-time hours, temporary position
  • Interact with students, parents, and school staff on a daily basis

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
