Job Duties:
- Provide support and assistance to primary school students with special educational needs
- Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students
- Work closely with teachers to create a positive learning environment
- Help students with personal care and mobility needs
- Support students in classroom activities and during break times
Required Qualifications:
- A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification is desired but not compulsory
- Experience working with children with special educational needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
- Previous experience in a similar role within a school setting
- Knowledge of special educational needs practises and strategies
- Ability to adapt support techniques to meet individual student needs
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional training in special educational needs
- First Aid certification
Working Conditions:
- Working hours may vary depending on school requirements
- May involve physical activity such as assisting with student mobility
- Potential exposure to challenging behaviour from students
- Regular collaboration with teaching staff and educational specialists

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
