Here at Protocol we are seeking experienced SEND Teaching Assistants specialising in the management and understanding of Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH) for roles within our schools in Doncaster. After over two years educational and emotional disruption children are in need of quality support and reassurance.

A successful candidate will be approachable and patient with good commination skills. They will have experience working with children with a variety of backgrounds and personal needs and show that they understand each individuals’ requirements are different, not offering a common approach to all. Good de-escalation skills and team teach training is desirable for these roles but not essential.

A SEMH Teaching Assistant in our schools will have responsibilities such as 1:1 interventions, record keeping, communication assistance and ensuring all children are given equal opportunity to engage in a classroom environment, assisting to make adaptations so this is possible.
