Job Duties:

  • Deliver pre-prepared lessons during teachers' absence (PPA cover)
  • Provide daily supply teaching across various subjects and year groups
  • Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a productive learning environment
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of individual students
  • Complete administrative tasks such as lesson planning and assessment

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Enhanced DBS check
  • Experience in teaching primary or secondary education

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years teaching experience

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum
  • Excellent classroom management skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
  • Additional training in Special Educational Needs (SEN) or safeguarding

Working Conditions:

  • Part-Time hours, typically between 8:30 am - 3:30 pm
  • Work in various schools within the Wandsworth area
  • Adhere to school policies and procedures
  • May involve occasional travel to different school locations

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
