Job Title: PPA Cover Teacher

Job Description:

As a PPA Cover Teacher based in Romford, Greater London, England, you will be responsible for providing cover for planned absence (PPA - Planning, Preparation, and Assessment time) of regular classroom teachers. This temporary position requires working full-time hours within the Education and Training industry. The salary range for this role is £130 - £200 per day, with an additional benefit of a +£50 referral fee.

Job Duties:

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons to students across different year groups and subjects during teachers' absence.
  • Ensure all work set by the regular classroom teachers is completed by students.
  • Maintain classroom discipline and a positive learning environment.
  • Provide feedback to regular classroom teachers on students' progress.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff members as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
  • Experience working in a similar role within a school setting.
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to different teaching environments.

Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience.
  • Knowledge of the UK National Curriculum.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional training in Special Education or SENCO qualification.
  • Experience working with diverse student populations.
  • Experience using technology in the classroom.

Working Conditions:

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
