Job Duties:

  • Provide support and assistance to students with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
  • Assist in implementing individual education plans for students with PMLD
  • Support the classroom teacher in delivering lessons and activities tailored to the needs of students with PMLD
  • Assist with personal care tasks for students as required
  • Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience working with students with PMLD
  • Good understanding of special educational needs and disabilities

Education:

Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 minimum)

Experience:

Experience working with students with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of PMLD and strategies to support learning
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team
  • Basic understanding of safeguarding procedures

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a school setting with students with PMLD
  • Full-time hours, temporary position
  • Potential for personal care duties
  • Collaboration with teachers and other support staff

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
