We are looking to appoint a playworker to work at primary school in Haringey. Hours are 3pm – 6pm Monday – Thursday.
Qualifications: Not essential as training will be given. Experience preferred.
Skills Required: Establish constructive relationships with pupils and interact with them according to individual needs. Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils.
Essential qualities : Good communication skills with staff and children, good organisational skills, ability to demonstrate adaptability and flexibility, enthusiasm and commitment, reliability and high expectations.
Responsibilities: Ensure there is a secure and welcoming facility to support, motivate and supervise pupils in play and meal settings in an after school setting. Be responsible for the health, safety, conduct and well being of all pupils enrolled in the after school club allocated under the duty rota. To assist the staff in providing a caring, secure environment, through individual attention and group activities, and to organise an appropriate range of leisure activities for children between the ages of 2 to 11.
Cleaning duties – clear away resources/equipment, clear dining tables, sweeping and mopping floors as well as washing-up.
Pay is £12.90 - £14.00 per hour depending on experience.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
