We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Physical Education Teacher to join our vibrant team.

Job Summary:

The Physical Education Teacher will be responsible for planning, organising, and delivering engaging PE lessons to students of varying abilities and ages. The ideal candidate will inspire students to develop a lifelong interest in physical activity, sportsmanship, and overall wellness. This role requires a dynamic individual who can motivate students, manage diverse classroom environments, and contribute to the school’s extracurricular sports programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality PE lessons that cater to different learning styles and abilities.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive PE curriculum that promotes physical fitness, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles.
  • Assess and evaluate student performance, providing constructive feedback and support for improvement.
  • Organise and supervise extracurricular sports activities, clubs, and events.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and enthusiasm for physical activity.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate physical education with other subjects and school activities.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of student progress, attendance, and other relevant information.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students during physical activities and adhere to school policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, or related field.
  • QTS or equivalent.
  • Previous experience teaching PE at the elementary or secondary level is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of physical education principles, sports, and fitness activities.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their best.
  • Commitment to promoting health, fitness, and wellness in the school community.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
