Job Description:

Job Duties:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Physical Education lessons to students
  • Assess and evaluate students' progress in sports and physical activities
  • Organise and supervise extracurricular sports activities and events
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and improvement strategies
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Bachelor's degree in Physical Education or related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Physical Education or related field
  • Additional teaching qualifications are desirable

Experience:

  • Previous experience teaching Physical Education in a school setting
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and motivate students

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Thorough knowledge of sports and physical education curriculum
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Strong classroom management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education
  • Experience coaching or playing sports at a competitive level

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
