Job Duties:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons to Reception class students
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support as needed
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a well-rounded educational experience
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student development

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching Reception or Early Years students
  • Knowledge of the UK National Curriculum

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in a similar role

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of child development and learning theories
  • Excellent classroom management skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education
  • Specialist training in Early Years education

Working Conditions:

This role involves working with young children in a school setting. The working hours are typically during school hours, with additional time required for planning and assessment. The successful candidate will be expected to adhere to school policies and procedures, and participate in staff meetings and professional development activities.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
