About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate Level 3 Qualified Teaching Assistant to support a local authority maintained nursery that provides care and education for children aged 2-4 years. This nursery has a long-standing reputation for excellence, consistently earning 'Outstanding' ratings from Ofsted. The school is committed to creating a warm, nurturing environment where children can thrive through play and exploration, developing essential skills for their future learning journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the class teacher in delivering fun, play-based activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to children, ensuring their individual learning needs are met.
- Help set up and maintain an exciting and safe indoor and outdoor environment that encourages exploration and discovery.
- Support children's social, emotional, and cognitive development, encouraging their confidence and independence.
- Prepare resources and activities that enhance children’s learning experiences.
- Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and staff, sharing insights into children’s progress and well-being.
- Be an active member of a collaborative and supportive team.
Requirements:
- A Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or Childcare is required.
- Previous experience working with young children in a nursery or early years setting is preferred.
- A strong passion for supporting children’s development and helping them reach their full potential.
- Ability to work 5 days a week, as part of a full-time role.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
