Job Description:

We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will support the daily operations of the nursery, working closely with children to foster their development and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning and delivery of a diverse range of activities that promote learning and development.
  • Support the day-to-day care of children, ensuring their physical, emotional, and educational needs are met.
  • Maintain a safe and hygienic environment for children, following all health and safety guidelines.
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff.
  • Observe and assess children’s progress, providing feedback to senior staff and parents.
  • Help with feeding, changing, and comforting children as needed.
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with young children, preferably in a nursery or early years setting.
  • A caring, patient, and positive attitude.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Basic understanding of child development and early years education.
  • Relevant childcare qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3 in Childcare) are desirable but not essential.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
