We are a teaching and supply agency looking for someone to work at a Nursery Schools located in Leeds, committed to providing high-quality early years education. Our team is dedicated to creating a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment where every child can explore, learn, and grow. We believe in fostering a love of learning from an early age and are looking for a passionate and energetic Nursery Teaching Assistant.
The Role:
As a Nursery Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of our educational programs and daily activities. You will work closely with our qualified teachers to create a vibrant, educational, and caring environment for our children. This role requires a highly motivated individual who is committed to the development and well-being of young children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and implementing a range of educational activities that promote child development.
- Provide a safe and stimulating environment that fosters learning.
- Support children’s personal, social, and emotional development.
- Engage with children in activities that encourage language, literacy, and numeracy skills.
- Assist with meal times and personal care routines.
- Observe and record children’s progress and participate in parent meetings.
- Ensure health and safety standards are maintained at all times.
- Be an active, hands-on member of the team, able to get up and down off the floor to engage with children at their level.
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare (or equivalent) is preferred but not essential.
- Previous experience working with children in a nursery or early years setting.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- A genuine passion for working with young children.
- Ability to engage in physical activities with children, including getting up and down off the floor.
- Must undergo a DBS check if offered the position.
